Default dagger made from cut down saber/bayonet

The seller thought it's a bousaadi but I don't see any resemblance. My amateur guess would be some sort of berber koumyya relative. Although the hilt doesn't bear any resemblance whatsoever.

Do these symbols/decorations mean anything to anyone?

Hi there,

Nice Moroccan shula. Search the forum for the terms "shula" and "s'boula"

It's a sboula? I already have a sboula and the hilt is flared at both ends. The pattern carved into the hilt is very similar though. The lack of shape to the hilt is what's confusing me and also the sharpened back edge.

This is my other sboula.

This is closer to what's known as a Zanzibar sword.
