I saw this handle from Privateer Productions, which makes replica weapons for films.
I was so impressed that I called the company, and the gentleman I spoke with told me that the piece is a replica of an actual mandau handle which he saw in a museum. |

The first "face hilt" resembles a parrot.
The second face is a quite unusual variation for being Borneo, perhaps it is depicting a Dutchman. And then the rest from my latest picture session... Michael |
