Well, 'Nando and everybody,
So I'm finally back again and here to stay for whatever it takes!!! I arrived only this noon after 5 weeks of intensive exercise on rehab in the Bavarian Forest, and I have been busy here on the forum ever since my arrival. Let's call it a day now and raise our mugs with a dark neer or two to our love for cats and earliest fiearms, my friend! More soon - boom chucka boom ... Thank you so much, my dear friend! Best, Michl |

Yes, Samuel,
I am back in the saddle and acting as the lone rider again (so to speak)! Thank you so much for your nice email, and I am very glad that the high-rez Battle of Alesia images have finally reached you! Best, Michael |

Yay!!! Michael at last you're home here!!!!
I have been remiss in not adding my own elated welcome back, and it is so exciting to see you posting and adding to the powerfully important work you do and share with us. Over these years you have given us so much in your breathtaking illustrated threads showing us wonderful art depicting the weaponry you have spent a lifetime collecting and studying in depth that even few museums ever achieve. To simply say you have been 'missed' here would be one of the worlds greatest understatements, as would any words to adequately say how glad I am you are back , but I am trying Godspeed Michael, on your recovery, and in the continuation of your monumentally important work on these magnificent arms. As always, Jim |

Well, as a member once remarked: Jim writes prose like poetry!!! Thanks a lot, both Jim and 'Nando, my dear friends, who have helped me go thru some really hard times; once again you've made me blush ... And, 'Nando: I will make up for your ringing me in the hospital so often. If anybody is entitled to say it was because him that I finally made it it is you and Jim, who also called me, and of course the forum! Without you all, I might not be around any longer ... Although I got good and close friends to help me along, my girlfriend refused to marry me more than 30 years ago. She was totally into her academic career as a university professor of anglistics and felt like I was confining her. Well, it seems like after all I found a family of my own: our forum community. And that makes me proud as hell! All the best to you, Michael Last edited by Matchlock; 20th November 2013 at 06:52 PM. |
