ED,
I was not as detailed and clear as I should have been. The barrel extension - the bar that locks the barrel into the breech plate - is bolted to the top of the barrel. These bolts do NOT extend into the chamber, but the holes DO. Thus it could chamber a round, but I fear that a cerrosafe casting would - slightly - reach into the bolt hole.

I beg you guys to not tie me to the whipping post but, i dare doubt that these two intricate pieces of engineering are fit to function as weapons on a repetitive mode in any operational field.
