The more I look at this the more I question my associates opinion that it was not made from a bayonet. I am not familiar with a German WW1 emergency bayonet but this blade is made out of some kind of factory made blade, transformed into a short sword.

That is an Argentine bolo bayonet 1898-190?
Lew Lew, I cannot see a stud on the hilt so I think it is probably the Argentinian sidearm rather than the bayonet. Regards Royston |
