Default Would like info on this Kukri

Hi Guys,

New here
I recently got this kukri and would like you guys to give me more info on it please, eg, date, place, your thoughts on it? Pics are below.

Nice kukri! The wooden scabbards like this usualy occor on village made native use pieces in Nepal & India border regions, although sometimes gifted to or bought by westerners. The more decoration the greater the wealth or caste position likely in Hindu soceity, seems likely.

The kukri looks somewhere between 1930 & 1950 to my eyes probably nearer 30s though.

As Spiral says, the decoration on these carved scabbards varies considerably in coverage and quality. I would add that in my opinion your scabbard is of the best quality, compared to some other more rustic examples.
