Interesting Philippine bolo
Just picked this up on EBay the hilt could use a wire wrap restoration. Here is a tidbit that I found.
The 31st Infantry Regiment (31st INF) of the United States Army was formed on August 13, 1916, and was part of USAFFE's Philippine Division during World War II. The unit is rare in that it was formed and has spent most of its life on non-American soil. |

Great tabak Lew, I'm glad that you won this and it will make a great addition to your collection. There was another tabak posted on the forum with the same decoration on the end cap. I believe it might have been posted by Jose. Please post new pictures when you re-wrap the double wire twist into the grip. Really nice to get the original scabbard with it (and in great condition too) as they are almost always missing.
