Default The pride of my collection...a real Viking sword

Here's my fave sword: a real Viking sword, heavily corroded but still in one piece. I'm looking forward to hearing your reactions!

Yes, it has been restored and conserved by a museum. So it will last for a loooooooong time!

Hopefully it will, restoration is no guarantee nevertheless.

Hi,
what a cool sword and welcome to the forum . Have you ever thought of having it x-rayed ...I understand that the images would show the forge welded pattern. Certainly would look good ...the sword mounted next to a life sized x-ray image.

Regards David

Congratulations! I hear that there are a lot of things at the bottom of the Thames.
