A Jambiah Perhaps?
Hi,
Could this be a Sumatra or Peninsular Malaysia Jambiah? The tip looks like it has a luk. Comments welcomed. Cheers. |

Hello Omar,
Do you have close-ups of the base of the blade? Both sides would be good. Blades curved like this are fairly common and some of them apparently are based on the Arab jambiah. Scabbards like this are also seen along all of the Sumatran coast, too. Regards, Kai |

Similar blades are also coming from Negara (Banjarmasin area); also the "luk" at the tip seems intentional. Based on the slender blade as well as the scabbard I'd suggest this piece originating from the southeastern Sumatran coast. Also the plain horn foot and mouth are typical for this area.
