Kris Handle...

the thread on the handle was very fragile and it was coming off, so i decided to redo it.

well, like i said, with this rattan strips, i think i can even make it look more bootyful. this is preliminary since i just wanna see how it looks. without stain, it looks pretty cool already. my question is, does anyone owns a kris with rattan strip handle and could you please kindly post it so i can see the patterns invlove? i think those type of kris handle is nort as common; either that or it came off a while back and rewrapped with cord instead. the rattan stripp handle on this type of kris i believe, matches better, IMHO...

d're, two krises of mine w/ rattan strip handles. the kris w/ ball pommel has a thicker rattan strips(original wrap) while the ingraved kris has thinner strips. the ingraved krises hilt was missing a wrap exposing the iron clamp so i decided to do it my self /4th grade p.i practical arts comes handly (making broom sticks rattan rings). let me know if you needed the thinner rattan strips, i got lots of 'em.

this scabbards had electric wire wraps on 'em, i had it replaced w/ rattan strips.

dood, we made some cup holders using rattan strips (notre dame dadiangas). funny thing is, i was just thinking about that while i was working on my kris. *just spit my soda when i read your post*
