Default Wall display in progress

Working hard on the heap and finally sorting the wheat from the chaff and getting the 'keepers' on display ... its only taken 30 years of indecision !

Thank you ... well the item to which you refer is not a shield it is a hat from the western Sahel region .

Better not make her cross! Seriously, you did a nice display. It looks a bit like an armoury, which I like.

Yes well I know I must behave ! Thank you for your comments ... I always wanted to be a museum curator but no one would employ me ! So I have to have my own little museum. I enjoy arranging displays .

Mostly I use small brass picture hanging hooks and wire loops .... then to get the right angle if necessary I will augment them with 1 inch brass panel pins . I have found such an arrangement strong enough for any items as they are designed to support even heavy framed pictures.

Thank you for the idea!

So you can easily remove them and put them back without any permanent damage to the wall, right?!

Oh yes the holes left are very tiny indeed .... and because they are only hooked on , I can remove them easily for cleaning or inspection.
