staining keris
Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to purchase a chemical in Australia that will stain a blade.I have finally gotten around to cleaning my blades in pineapple juice and i am very happy with the results. Would love now to be able to stain these blades and try to bring them close to their former glory.

Casey, since you are in Australia i highly recommend that you get in contact with Alan Maisey: http://www.kerisattosanaji.com/index.html
I'm sure he can help you in some way. |

Come on Nechesh, not so shy. Besides you should be nice to your fellow forum members, it's almost christmas!!!
But you make us very curious about what you know and we don't. What are we missing and is so special that you will have to answer your own topics at the end when you finished killing us?? |

All this talk about killing on an edged weapons forum of all places !!
How shocking . If this thread continues our collector - member base may become extinct ; and Nechesh will be doing 400 years in the slammer !! |

OK, listen up, i've got one word for you.....plastics! Extra points to anybody who gets that reference. OK this thing is snowballing so let me put it to rest. I PMed Spunjer to suggest we get together in the warmer weather to do some staining since we live close to each other. I PMed Casey because Alan Maisey was trying to return Casey's email and getting bounced back. I PMed Rasdan to make him feel better. There! Feel better guys.....you're all dead now! |
