Default Yataghan for translation and comment

Just picked this up from Ebay (ended). Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

Digeni your yataghan is from balkan, and the inscription in the blade is greek or cyriliks. I m not sure because the leters is not clear.
Very beautiful yataghan.

I think it is Balkan as well. I am not sure that there is writing on it or that what you see is not just decoration. I will be able to tell when it actually arrives. I think there may be a pattern on the blade. Hope springs eternal!
