Default Slave leg shackles??

Any thought about these old style shackles?

Well they certainly have age to them. Are they yours ? Hard to say whether they were used for slaving purposes or for convicts/prisoners, without a provenance.

The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich have some shackles illustrated in the slavery part of their website, but none exactly like these. Perhaps looking at Police Museum collections would identify the type...

Thanks Colin. Yes they are mine. they are brought back from Poland, from a guy who sells WW2 items. I think this is much older.
