French Flintlock Pocket Pistol circa 1750
Again a very short pistol.
Flintlock Pocket Pistol with France, circa 1750 I ‘m wondering about the Ballistic Performance for such small pistol ,the French Gendarmerie pistol, models 1770 /an 9 / 1842, were also very short pistols circa 25 cm but I guess they were efficient weapons because in use during more than half century. best Cerjak |

Since a very long time I am a collector of French and British pocket and Queen Anne pistols. So I am able to show three double barreled side-by-side pistols of French origin of about 1750.
The shortest of the three has 18cm in length, the longest 19,5cm and this one is made by the French gunmaker Pierre TURGE in Nantes. The other pistols are unsigned, but one has silver mountings with the the hallmark of Paris for the year 1768. corrado26 |
