Sword for id
I Need identification for this sword I just bought it and I should receive it in 10 days.
So I only have those pictures. Blade is 87 cm Wooden grip and steel pommel total long 105 cm. Any comment on it would be welcome. Regards |

Its a Sudanese kaskara with what looks to be a replacement pommel.

I suspect it's a replacement because the form is simply not traditional. It is not unusual for kaskara to be modified in Europe to more closely resemble "medieval" swords. More images would certainly help. :-) The blade and guard are likely 19th century.
