Default late Klingenthal

I wonder if anyone can offer any insights into history and purpose of this Kingenthal sword. It appears to be from the Coulaux & Co. period, which would date it post 1840. I have been guessing that it was meant to serve as a hunting sword or as an "artillery" sword.

Hi!

I thuink that this is an artillery piece from the second half of 19th century. Certinly not french, maybe belgium, holland, Denmark, or maybe even Norher areas.

Thoose kind of "gladius" resembelling swords were verry poppular in that era.

It is possible the lettering is 19th century, but there is something about it that looks early 20th century at best to me but I could well be wrong. To me the script looks 1920-30s certainly 20th century. Tim
