Default RIFLES SWORD M1827

Dear friends.
I want to ask a question.
1. Somebody knows the manufacturer of this brand PROVED?
2. What time this sword? (An edge direct probably later?)
3. The sword belongs to officers or sergeants? (To probably senior sergeants?)
Hilt I think officer, and an edge (without drawings) NCO?
4. Since what time there was such leather sheath?
If there will be any additional information I will be glad it to receive.

Respect, Alexander.

R for Charles Reeves made for Wilkinson end of 19th c. most likely by Cater.
Reeves produced blades for Wilkinson until 1901, when absorbed into the firm.
This example seems unusual in that the etched star of Solomon is not in surround around the proof plug.

This is a Rifle Brigade sword and would seem to be an officers model in field service scabbard.

Sadly not my area of interest; still I wish to say thanks for the brilliant quality of your images.
Wish we could see that kind of superb photos around here more often ...

Best,
Michael
