French sword for sale
For sale a French officer's small sword, model "1817 à ciselure".
This is a rare item, as the brass hilt guard incorporates the militarized firemen symbols, from the period of King Louis Philippe (circa 1840). I have only seen a similar one in twenty years. The grip in ebony, still keeps its original brass wire wrapping, locked by two decorated ferules The double edged blade, measuring 78 cms (30,7"), with two deep fullers, is in perfect condition... not one dent.
