What are these?
I found these in a flea store . not my field in fact but one of them are 1831 French artillery gladio, right? blade has French handwriting inscriptions under the deep patina. other two seem like hunting daggers, or as they're long, forestry short swords? but there are not enough signs on them. one of them has F.W. on guard . no maker's mark around. both blades are old looking, good quality steel and used. one scabbard is blued metal with a brass little scabbard attachment on rear for a shorter knife, the other is sewed leather. do you think they are antique or very good quality reproductions? if antique, pls give more information about their identities.

Not my speciality either, but the one to the left is a sword for the infantry, used in the middle of 1800 in many European countries. You often find regimental markings on the hilt. The two others could, as you write, be hunting swords – I don’t know.

The one on the far left is more French artillery or US artillery (based on the French) during the early to mid 1800s. The middle is possibly a German or French hunting sword, and the far right -
The scabbards on the far left and right look too new and good to be antiques. There are reproductions especially made for the US Civil War and so I would be extremely cautious about that one until you could have some one knowledgable look at up close. |

Hi Guys
I think these are all French the middle maybe German but hard to tell. The two on the right are hunting swords 1850-70. The far right one looks similar to Klinginthal hunting swords that I have seen in the past. Very nice acquistion Lew |
