A tool/weapon for sale

I have bought this, hoping to find what it was but, after several atempts, i still ignore its origin.
Assumimg it is a tool, no doubt that it could well do as a weapon, as it is sturdy like i never saw. A slash with this piece can cut in parts almost anything.
Its steel part is 54 cms (21"), its total length is 64 cms and its impressive weight is 840 grams (19 pounds).
The blade section where it becomes the socket is 10 mm.
I can sell it for 70 Euros or 100 US Dollars.
