Hi all, sorry for another random object thread! Don't really know why I bought this today, couldn't find anything else I liked and then I saw this!

I have seen a similar style before....I think African....but can't remember tribe/region....I'll have to 'think on it'.....Hopefully someone like Tim could be more definate. Regards David |

This is typically SEPIK / Papua New Guinee.
I am not sure what kind of statue this is and if it is a original / traditional object. But the style of the faces is sepik. Best regards, Willem |

have to agree with Willem, it's a Sepik carving. Carefully worded I would guess it's a recent carving. Old ones more basic. Happy that I belong like Willem to the 1%! ![]() ![]() sajen |
