Need info about gaucho knife

I recently inheriated an Argentine gaucho knife that was given to my father in the late 1950's or early 1960's as a gift from his aunt ,who was a missionary in Argentina. Its 17 cm from tip of blade to end of handle & 19 cm from tip of sheath to end of handle. I'm trying to locate someone in N.TX to help me get some information &/or authenticate & appraise it.
