Is this a common wootz pattern for Yatagans? The date on it indicates to be from 1799. Where was this kind of Damascus blade made at the time ? Any ideas ?
Also I couldn’t read the last word in the inscriptions, can anybody help with that? Is it “sahibi Abdi bashi”?? Thanks |

It is not wootz, it is pattern welded steel. Can't help you with where it was made. It read, Amal e Mohammad (work of Mohammad), Saahib 'Abdi Baashi (owner 'Abdi Baashi)...
