Default Jordanian Khanjer

Posted for comments by the forum. Acquired in Amman Jordan in 1978. I was told it is possibly a Jordanian Police khanjer. Basic workmanship. My Arabic is a bit rusty with respect to the mark, which I am assuming is the maker's signature. I read "Hussein" as the lower name. Possibly "Abd...." on the top? Handle and scabbard are old wood wrapped in tin with a wire wrapping around the grip. Appreciate any comments with respect to origin, dates, correct name, etc.

Hi Dave,

Have a look here:
http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12567

The Shibriya is characterised by it's distinctive blade shape which makes it quite distinct from the Khanjars and similar daggers from the cultures surrounding it's area of manufacture.
