Question Daggers of Mauritania?

Hello All!

In order to compliment my previous post about Libyan daggers I thought I whould now ask if anyone has a example of a Mauritanian dagger/knife. Or any info on them in general. Any and all help whould be appreciated very much!

Mark...

P.S.-Here is a link to some interesting information on Mauritania.

Hello Mark, I think Mauritanian weapons would most probably be just one of the many regional variations of Tuareg and other Saharan peoples weapons, being able to truly differentiate would take an exhaustive field study. Something for the future perhaps . Tim

Hello Tim!

The way the weather where I am is Mauritania is starting to look mighty nice! The daggers from there whould be a interesting mix of arab, berber, and sub sahharen africans that inhabit the country. I know some people that might be going there soon, I will ask them too do my shopping for me.
