Default Nice 20th cent Burmese Dha with scabbard

Interesting one here...

Nice Dha which I believe to be Burmese in original. From what i guess to be early part of the 20th century. It has a broad arrow mark on the blade which has been suggested to me that it means it was used either by British troops in Burma during the wars, or alternatively used by a Burmese soldier fighting alongside the British?

Blade is approx 23 inches long, handle is approx 8.5 inchs. You can just about see what seems to be the tempered / hardened edge.

Im not sure if the scabbard is original or not. The fit is very good, has a traditional cord wrap. Where the handle meets the scabbard there is a slip of green felt at the base of the blade / top of handle. Handle is wood with 2 brass ferrules either end.

£200. Free postage within EU. £210 including postage to outside EU. Payment via paypal please.

Need the cash really but will listen to any swop proposals for other dha, kukris, barongs or moro kris.

msg me here or email to donadam@blueyonder.co.uk
