Default Pre WWII?? Indian kukri A chance for UK bids before it's Ebay-ed!

As Ebay descriminates against the UK collectors here is an opportunity for ANY kukri collectors (Even UK) to buy this old war horse at £80 (inc P&P for UK) If not sold it will go onto Ebay on Saturday May 1st.

This is part of a small collection of Kukris that we’ve recently acquired, all of which will be auctioned in the coming weeks. This example is thought to have been picked up in Assam and was carried by a British officer-we can’t verify the story, but it does seem possible. Some details.
The blade measures 30cm in length and 2.5cm at the base. The spine is approx 80mm at the handle running to approx 30mm at the tip. This blade is bi fullered and very sharp, the cho is somewhat crude in design but the decoration along the top of the blade is nicely executed. The bolsters are steel, whilst the hilt appears to have been ‘dipped’ in liquid aluminium-see pictures for the best description!! The butt cap is brass
The scabbard is entirely covered in khaki canvas material and has been well made. The single companion knife shows signs of usage and is a little pitted and come in its own little hide sheaf.
Condition throughout is generally very good, the blade has had a good working life if the dents and nicks to the spine are anything to go by-a very useful tool for getting stubborn tents pegs to stay put!!. The scabbard is all good. The kukri is a little awkward when entering and exiting the scabbard-mind them fingers!! Overall length 44cm. Weight approx 700g
In all, a well used and interesting weapon with plenty of character.
