i also turned in a bid that did not go thru, wasn't rejected, just was like it never happened. the internet was having a great deal of difficulty last nite, i was having severe difficulties even getting web pages to load at all, my ISP (tiscali) this morning said that there had been 'difficulties' at the paddington exchange in london, but all services were restored this morning. anyhow, seems mandauman got a good deal, and if y'all had trouble bidding too, i don't feel so bad.

for norman, the UK ebay decided last sep. that they cannot sell any WMD's to children under 18, so they decided the best way to enforce it was to make people register a credit card as you cannot get a credit card until you are 18. no out for people who do not want one. big discussion here on that last fall when they enforced it. i applied for ebay/paypal's own visa pre-pay debit card, topped it up with £5 'credit' and they accept that as proof i am over 18. funny bit is you can get that card if you are over 16 so will still allow under 18's to buy them nasty swordy things.
