it's classical Arabic,
it's acts of poem,
the translation is not, and cannot be literal,
but given by the general meaning

be not too malicious ... if some one found a distortion in the translation,
but ... classical + poem it's realy an headache

for "comments & apreciations", I leave the matter to the "gang" here

Thanks Zifir. Is that the total inscription or the ?? part? Is this the name of the maker or is there an english translation?

- Christian name, which is interesting

amel-i İskender ; done (made) by Alexander

In Ottoman period as well as in today's Turkey, many Muslims also use/d this name probably due to the fame of Alexander in Islamic culture (the story of Zulkareyn in Quran, and the argument that Zulkareyn, in fact, was Alexander)
