hi louie,
i bought this newly made one last year from so. africa, hand carved, not lathe turned - you can feel the tool marks from the carving. it is made from 'assegai' wood by zulu craftsman, billed as a knobkerrie walking stick, roughly 2.5 in. dia. head, 36 in. long. i love it.
