What an excellent idea Andy! and these are outstanding illustrations of these people. While we study ethnographic weapons and recognize the importance of understanding thier cultures compehensively, we seldom see illustrations of the people who used these weapons, and these pictures are magnificent!

Didn't Joy Adamson write a book that included a very good study on the shields of Kenya?

Thank you for posting these Andy. Perhaps some of our African weapons enthusiasts could match some weapons to the tribal groups portrayed and we could get a general overview of the weapons of Kenya.
