saw one of these discussed here before i think & am fairly sure it is not indian,
definitely NOT a kukri. there was another one sold last week as a kukri that i missed, but got this one, it also has the metal chape on it where the other one didn't if i recall....will see if it has any markings when it arrives.... E-bay item linky foget what they called it or i'd search it up here...... |

yup, thems the ones cocos (keeling) islands. i seem to remember someone saying that some of them were made from hunks of steel from the german commerce raider 'Emden' that was sunk nearby, probably just a good marketing line. looks like a nice useful knife. the chape seems unusual as the other photos i've seen do not have one.
