I would recommend a visit to Steen Strømberg at St. Kongensgade, close to Kongens Nytorv, in Copenhagen.
Further down the same street (away from Kongens Nytorv) there is another dealer also, but not with the same quality. Michael |

Hi Marcus,
I have asked Lee to forward a mail to you with Strombergs address, phone number, email address and so on. Jens |

While on the subject of Danish dealers, does anyone know if K.E.Skafte the book dealer there is still in business? Have not been able to relocate him.

Hi Jim,
No I don't think Skafte excists and more, and I vaguely remember to have heard, years ago, that the shop was closed. Jens |

Copenhagen
Thanks for the suggestions. I should have posted the question sooner. The weather was pretty bad in Denamrk this week, I was lucky just to get back from visiting friends in the Jutland in time for my return flight. However the business part of the trip went well and so it is likely I will be returning. Anyway, I did get to the Tøjhusmuseet which has a very excellent (though somewhat disorganized) collection of Europen weapons...so many wheel lock pistols in one collection..I swoon.

Thanks very much for the info Jens and Ham. That is indeed regretful news about Skafte. While his prices were often pretty staggering, he also typically had some of the most esoteric and hard to find references, and I am grateful to him for providing those resources even if expen$ive!!
All the best, Jim |

Steen Strømberg, Denmark has passed
I've been informed that Steen Strømberg, Danish collector and dealer, has passed. I don't know exactly when. Most of the collection went through Bonhams.

Skafte
Skafte passed away appr. 12 years ago. I had the opportunity to buy some books from his daughter and she told me, that his collection of Indonesia weapons has been sold as well.
