Late entry... better late than never. One of my old rencong. Rencong Aceh, Sumatra, Hulu Meucangge. Blade Length: 28cm.




The sheath. Acehese artwork found throughout the sheath, on this side.
Engraved scrolls, curves and chevron patterns via chisel-works.


Stylized bamboo shoot motifs, pucuk rebung carvings at the lower portion. Artwork, typical of Acehese found on one side of the sheath.
