  Tim the scabbard leather interia is soaked in a greasy wax like substance, hence the blades condition  The cracked appearance to the leather is the bitumen paint they put on some kukri scabbards in France in WW1 to help stop the water absorbtion. The blade still has the makers surface Tim. Luckily I know the differance. Spiral |
