I also saw it. You're absolutely right - Nicely made, Newly made and Expensive. I don't even know how long it is (but I did not even want to know)

It is not too bad. I would say the price compares with that of other contemporary display/ fantasy swords. It looks better then the more typical Marto 1/4-inch rectangular flat bar; and, may even give the custom "art" knife crowd a close run.
