This is not my field (my friendīs knife). Please, could you help with allocation: Where is the knife coming from, the name of the item in local language, tribe, purpose of use ? Many thanks

The name of the knife is bendo. This is utility knife fron Jawa. |

Detlef, I took the info from Albert Zonnevelds book. However, having checked several more authoritative sources of information, I must say that you are right. This knife is bedok.
