Hello, I am new here. This is, as has already been pointed out, a British police hanger from the Victorian period. "Wilkinson London" is a stamp used from at least the 1880s by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London. Matt Easton has a "sold archive" on his website containing photos of a few Indian cavalry troopers' swords from c.1880 which have stamps identical to the one on the Police sword in the first post.
