A VERY FINE LATOK I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE LIKE IT . ITS INTERESTING THAT SEVERAL UNIQUE FORMS OF SWORDS WITH BRASS HANDLES HAVE SURFACED RECENTLY. DID A COLLECTOR WHO LOVED BRASS HANDLES AND FITTINGS RECENTLY SELL HIS COLLECTION OR IS IT JUST COINCIDENCE? THE WORKMANSHIP HAS BEEN EXCELLENT ON THE THREE EXAMPLES RECENTLY FEATURED ON THE FORUM.

A beautiful and unusual latok Dajak. The brass hilt is really quite striking and helps highlight the brass inlay in the blade. Could you possibly post a couple of close-ups showing the inlay a bit better? A great catch, thank you for sharing.

Best,
Robert

THANKS FOR THE MORE DETAIL ON PICTURES VERY IMPRESSIVE WORKMANSHIP. THE PACKAYUN OF THE MURUT TRIBE HAS NICE BRASS WORK BUT HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE WITH A COMPLETE BRASS HANDLE? THAT WOULD BE VERY IMPRESSIVE.
