Pay attention: PayPal is accepted ONLY on items < $500. After that, - bank transfer. Shipping is "guaranteed" after a month wait. During this time, E-Bay will do nothing : they will tell you to wait a bit more.
More than enough time for the scammer to get the money, close the bank account permanently and to disappear without a trace. |

Sajen, looks like you're right. eBay shows no interest, they did not even ask for details
![]() As others noted, this is a "bank transfer and run" scam from likely hacked account. |

Well, in this case E-Bay will have to reimburse the buyer :-) They have a policy of full protection.
Penny wise, pound stupid.... |

Ariel,
eBay does offer full protection, but for most (not all) transactions. They do not cover wire transfer. Here's their policy: Purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee when all of the following are true: An item isn't received or it isn't as described in the listing A case is opened no later than 30 days after actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or for tickets, 7 days after the event The purchase was made with the Pay Now option or an eBay invoice One of the following payment methods was used: PayPal ProPay Skrill Credit card or debit card Bill Me Later The item was paid for in a single payment (including payments with Bill Me Later). |

You are 100% correct. I found it out yesterday, since I never ever was interested in it. Now I know....
I think the behavior of E-Bay is reprehensible. They ask for a proof of a scam: you had it and offered to provide an iron-clad case, but they just ignored you. The " winner"... poor schmuck.... |
