Default Odd Surmene knife?or something else?

Another new aquisition,Bulbous horn hilt, with brass mounts. Most of the original brass covering for the sheath is gone, sadly. The fullers are stamped with little x's.

Blade:8.5in long,oa:13.25in.

Default Marriage?

Hi Justin,
From what I can see from the scabbard, it looks like it's for a Yugoslavian Sarajevo knife but the knife itself doesn't look like what I know as a Sarajevo knife. Does the knife fit well in the sheath? To me the knife looks like it's from the Philippines with heavy Spanish influence as shown by the clip point and brass ricasso. I will be very interested to hear what other forum members have to say.
Sincerely,
RobT

Default

The knife fits very well into the scabbard, but I think the general area of Turkey/Eastern Europe is the most likely origin, here are a few Turkish knives I also own,the top one is a surmene/saldirma with a very gracefull long clipped point.:
