Very nice infantry hanger, in principle from the 18th century. They saw service in various countries, like Britain and Germany ... even in the U.S.A., during the American Revolution. It is usually called model 1742.
The existing scabbard is an important added value. The digits on the knuckle guard would be regimental marks. |
