Spiral,
I can only hope that someone can spare their production records and designs drawings from the dumpster. It is a shame to see them go, but that is the way of change. n2s |

Now Is The Time
For someone to step forward and commence negotiations for their records , catalogues etc ; if not the originals then at the very least copies .

Leeds Armouries
Considering all the conections with the history and armed forces of the UK, it would seem obvious that this is where the records will end up. Dont know if they are but if they dont, both parties need good kick!

Well Andy your logic is right according to my short chat with them, with the exception that Leeds Royal Armourys are picking out the bits they want.{swords from pattern room/museam first I would guess.} {actualy I know they are taking the records they want as well, but not the bulk of them..}
Nobody wants to store 100s of tons of old files & records unfortuanatly. It cost to much to catalouge & store in the correct enviroment to just answear the occasion questian for collectors like us I suppose. Same thing happend when Royal arms at Enfield shut. Leeds took all the financialy valuable stuff that they were interested in,{guns & swords first.} the majority of paperwork went in the landfill. Guess if anyones got the storage they could get in touch with WS? Do it fast though, the place is already bieng stripped. Spiral |
