It is an Afghan jezail not doubt about it. The barrels were made locally(back then better artisans) or imported from Persia or the Ottoman empire. The barrel is damascus, which adds a bit value to the item. Usually the were flintlocks but I have see a few percussion ones. The stock looks original, most stocks are newer nowadays. but good find. suprising that the lock has not markings.

It is right that many stocks are newer on the JETZAIL we find in the market but this one has an original one. |
