Default Ethiopian dagger??

Hello, today I got this dagger as a North African piece, but I think that it is rather an ethiopian or eritrean example. Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think it is difficult to say, it could be Ethiopian ("Horn of African") but that metal chape with niello decoration (??) is strange. For this relatively new daggers they used to adapt old chapes (from old saber sheaths), either made of brass or silver alloy - but mostly giligree style...

The dagger is Ethiopian. The scabbard is made by inserting the red leather sheath into the metal end decoration of a sword scabbard. Also one of the metal scabbard bands has been slipped over the "scabbard". I have seen a few. I posted some comments about these daggers under ETHIOPIA ANYONE? thread. Cheers, RON
