I found this pretty little knife on Ebay. Blade is 10 3/8" long, and .220" thick at the spine, with a nice distal taper. It is differentially hardened, and chisel ground. A swedge extends 6 3/4" back from the tip. Horn hilt is 4 1/4" long. Guard and seamless ferrule are brass. There are bone dots inlaid into the horn, which has shrunk enough that the dots are raised.
The scabbard is 2 pieces of wood with brass at the tip and throat. There is a piece of rawhide at the throat, with some of the hair still on it. It is laced on with what looks like mason's twine. What attracted me to this piece was the elegant blade shape. I guess it would be called yataghan shaped, curving down then up at the tip. Thanks for looking. Any comments or information appreciated.
