A nice piece you've got there. ![]() Your is a Tajong. There are luk piece, as well. [ See example ], (courtesy of Malay Art Gallery). Tajong got its name of the distinctive scabbard crosspiece (sampir) "which resembled the uplifted, winged shape of a Pattani fishing vessel of that name." (ref: Spirit of Wood).
