Default Cut down tulwar

I just read rumpel9's great post on Indian swords, and wanted to post my only Indian sword. I acquired it from a dealer friend who said that it was a US soldier's bring back from Afghanistan. The tulwar appears to be quite old, and I believe has been cut down considerably over it's life. Right now the blade measures 17.5 inches/44.45 cm. It's hard to tell if it was made with wootz steel or not. The blade is very sharp, and is still a viable weapon.

There are markings on the blade, two half circles made by dots. Marker's mark? Any comments or information is appreciated.

Regards,

Andrew
