Default Afghan “1847 dragoon” style helmets

Here are some Afghan helmets that were modeled after the British 1847 dragoon helmet, these are from the mid to late 1870s and were built by the Amir Sher Ali Khan, who had started to industrialize Afghanistan and standardize the equipment of the Afghan army.

The first two helmets were captured from the Amir’s bodyguard, and are in an Museum in the UK- the poor condition leads me to believe these helmets were damaged in battle

The last helmet is the best condition one I have seen
